Ali All Sheikh Abdulhussein Al Asfoor, the Northern Governor, extended a warm welcome to Dr. Tasnim Al Atatrah, the World Health Organisation (WHO) Representative in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was graced by the presence of Dr. Ejlal Al Alawi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Health Ministry.
During this interaction, Al Asfoor received a letter of cooperation from the WHO, headquartered in Geneva. This letter initiates collaborative efforts towards launching the “Healthy Northern Governorate” program.
Highlighting the significance of dedicated efforts in the forthcoming period, the governor emphasized the need to fulfill requisites for the Health Cities initiative and the effective implementation of accreditation criteria. This strategic direction reflects a commitment to advancing the region’s healthcare infrastructure and services.
