Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla highlighted that while the government remains committed to advancing the educational process, which serves as the foundation of progress and prosperity, it also actively supports the establishment of private educational institutions. This support is essential for expanding choices for parents and students, while also bolstering the role played by publicly funded institutions.
These statements were made by the Deputy Prime Minister during the separate inaugurations of the Abdulrahman Kanoo School – Diyar (ARKS Diyar) and the Nadeen School Dilmuni, both situated in the Muharraq Governorate.
The opening ceremonies of these two schools were attended by officials and businessmen, along with Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Education Minister, and Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla praised the vital role played by private educational institutions, citing their positive contributions to enhancing human development levels in the Kingdom. These institutions achieve this by nurturing students’ fundamental and cognitive skills at various stages of education, promoting job opportunities for citizens, and invigorating the construction and building sector.
He also commended the Ministry of Education for its efforts in collaborating with investors and facilitating the necessary infrastructure. This collaboration has led to a surge in the number of licensed private educational institutions meeting the required standards, offering diverse educational approaches in line with modern curricula to numerous students across various educational levels.
On this occasion, the Education Minister expressed pride in the Deputy Premier’s inauguration of these two private schools. It reflects the kingdom’s commitment, under the leadership of HM the King and the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to prioritize education as the cornerstone of the development process. The Education Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to supporting projects in the private sector, aligned with the government’s objectives.
