Municipalities Affairs Undersecretary Meets Muscat Municipality Chairman
Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, recently held a meeting with Ahmed Mohammed Al Humaidi, the Chairman of Muscat Municipality.
During the meeting, they discussed the significance of urban development in creating sustainable cities and explored various topics of mutual interest. Additionally, they delved into Muscat Municipality’s experience in activities like afforestation, enhancing road aesthetics, developing public parks, and implementing initiatives to enhance the services provided to the local community.
The visit was primarily aimed at fostering the exchange of expertise in municipal operations and capitalizing on development-related opportunities, as stated by Shaikh Mohammed. He underscored the imperative of further advancing initiatives, policies, and programs for environmental preservation to contribute to Bahrain’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
