Education Ministry Recognizes and Celebrates Teachers

In the presence of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Education Minister, the Ministry of Education conducted a special event today to commemorate World Teachers’ Day.

The event, which took place at the Ministry’s Hall in Isa Town, was attended by a multitude of teachers and officials from the Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Council (HEC).

During his address at the ceremony, Dr. Juma conveyed his deep appreciation and profound respect for educators, fondly recalling the dedication and generosity of the pioneers of education in the kingdom.

The Minister highlighted that the education sector is making substantial progress within the framework of a comprehensive development process, spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He commended the unwavering commitment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in advancing the educational system and enhancing its outcomes.

Dr. Juma praised the pivotal role played by the Bahrain Teachers College, which has produced generations of highly qualified educators. These educators are currently leading initiatives to elevate the quality of educational institutions and improve the overall educational process.

He underscored the Education Ministry’s ongoing dedication to supporting teachers, recognizing their invaluable contributions, and appreciating their hard work. The Ministry announced the promotion of a significant number of teachers to the rank of senior teachers, as a token of appreciation for the outstanding efforts of distinguished individuals in the field of education.

Furthermore, the Education Minister presented honors to teachers Kawthar Jaafar Hamza from Al Qadisiyah Primary Girls’ School and Zainab Said Salman from A’Ali Intermediate Girls School. These educators achieved prestigious distinctions in the “Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher” and advanced to the final stages of the competition.

The ceremony also featured performances by a student orchestra band, including educational, patriotic, and heritage songs.
