Kids News Kingdom Of Bahrain: 10,000 Laptops Delivered to Needy Students in Bahrain
As part of the Feena Khair (translated as “there is good in us”) charity campaign, Bahrain has successfully provided laptops to 10,000 students hailing from disadvantaged families. This noteworthy effort aims to empower students from low-income households for the upcoming academic year, which kicked off virtually on October 11.
Although in-person classes are slated to resume on October 24, the educational institutions will continue to offer a hybrid approach encompassing both online and on-site instruction throughout the year.
Overseeing the disbursement of funds from the Feena Al Khair campaign, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation has ensured that these laptops find their way into the hands of those in need. This initiative was originally established to extend support to families facing challenges due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this year, the same fund played a pivotal role in distributing approximately 100,000 meals daily to those affected by the pandemic’s economic repercussions.
In a similar vein, the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation had previously distributed more than 150 laptops to underprivileged students, underscoring the collective efforts to bridge the digital divide and promote accessible education.
