Bahrain Jazz Fest Transforms into Virtual Celebration for International Jazz Day 2021
Though live concerts remain a distant hope, the spirit of captivating music is alive and thriving in Bahrain. Commemorating the tenth anniversary of International Jazz Day, the Bahrain Jazz Fest is unveiling a six-day virtual music festival, accessible through YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Commencing on Sunday, April 4, the festival will offer a diverse array of workshops, webinars, discussions, and performances from talented musicians hailing from Bahrain, Luxembourg, and the United States.
The inaugural day of the event will immerse you in the world of swing music, accompanied by a dance workshop and a captivating swing jazz mini concert.
On Monday, April 5, the spotlight will be on Rod’s Delta Blues Trip concert, followed by Tribe 11’s fusion of street beats, jazz, and hip hop on Tuesday, April 6.
Luxembourg’s musical offerings will grace the festival on Wednesday, April 7, featuring remarkable performances by Claire Parsons, Greg Lamy, and the Benoit Martiny Band.
Thursday, April 8, will resonate with the Jazz House Organ Quarter featuring Lauren Sevian and Radam Schwartz, delivering their performances from the United States. The grand finale on Friday, April 9, will showcase a Bahrain-based concert, interpreting Arabian nuances of jazz.
