Late Bahraini Artist’s Legacy Shines in 49th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition
The 49th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition pays tribute to the remarkable artistic journey of the late Khalil Al Hashemi. This exhibition proudly presents a curated collection of his most profound works, transcending cultural boundaries and leaving an indelible mark on the art world.
Running until July 10 and accessible to the public, this year’s exhibition not only features the latest offerings from local artists, but also unveils Al Hashemi’s final creations. Of special note are the resplendent gold pieces crafted by Devji Aurum Jewelry, drawing inspiration from the late artist’s vision.
Among Al Hashemi’s notable contributions, he was also the mastermind behind the design of the Al Dana Award statuette. This prestigious accolade is bestowed annually upon the exhibition’s top achiever.
Encompassing the creative expressions of 55 Bahraini and expatriate artists, the exhibition proudly showcases over 100 works. These pieces span a diverse range, encompassing paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, and video. The creations ingeniously employ various materials and techniques, reflecting a multitude of artistic schools.
