Qatar Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha Enters Guinness World Records
Doha, October 21, 2023 – The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s (MOCIT) pavilion, known as “Qatar Smart,” at Expo 2023 Doha, has made its mark by entering the Guinness World Records for constructing the tallest freestanding 3D-printed concrete structure.
In celebration of this remarkable achievement, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated, “The global record in the Guinness World Records is not just a symbol of innovation and accomplishment; it is a testament to Qatar’s commitment to pushing technological boundaries and fostering productive collaboration. The MOCIT pavilion, spanning 170 square meters with a height of 12.4 meters, was designed in the form of a tower consisting of ten levels, with seven bricks in each row. It was constructed from 75 individual pieces, all 3D-printed, showcasing fruitful collaboration between diverse talents and experiences.
