Minister Fakhroo Inaugurates “Connections Luxury” Event
Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce and Acting Minister of Tourism, officially launched the inaugural edition of the “Connections Luxury Bahrain” tourism event.
The event saw a diverse gathering of leading international tour operators, as well as representatives from the luxury tourism sector and destination management companies from around the world.
Over the course of three days, tour operators from across the globe had the opportunity to explore Bahrain’s tourism offerings, with the goal of promoting the kingdom in international markets.
Minister Fakhroo stressed the importance of hosting this event and pointed out that it provided an opportunity for Bahrain to showcase its appealing advantages to visiting tour operators, both in terms of tourism and investment.
This event served as a testament to Bahrain’s unique tourism potential and its ability to cultivate lasting trade relationships with prominent global agencies, he added.
He underscored the pivotal role played by the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority in strengthening the kingdom’s capabilities, preparedness, and competitiveness in organizing and hosting significant international events and exhibitions.
This endeavor reflects Bahrain’s commitment to expanding its presence in foreign tourism markets, ultimately driving growth in the kingdom’s tourism sector.
The Minister highlighted that the three-day “Connections Luxury” event aimed to bring together international leaders and experts in luxury travel, fostering partnerships that can position Bahrain as an ideal destination for luxury tourism.
He emphasized Bahrain’s advanced tourism infrastructure, which has positioned it as a hub for luxury tourism in the Middle East.
The Minister stressed that Bahrain’s tourism offerings, including its luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, and upscale shopping centers, collectively contribute to the excellence and uniqueness of the Bahraini tourism and travel sector, delivering an exceptional experience to visitors.
Minister Fakhroo reiterated the commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to bolster the tourism sector. He stated that this commitment involved active participation in and hosting of various international tourism events, exhibitions, and forums, all aimed at raising awareness about Bahrain’s diverse attractions and activities for tourists. The focus remains on showcasing the kingdom’s luxury tourism industry, characterized by its diverse and integrated offerings that blend ancient heritage, sophistication, and opulence.
