Under the memorandum of understanding, the UAE Human Resource Development Council in Dubai and the Competitiveness of Emirati Workforce Council will work together to support initiatives and programs that encourage citizens and companies to benefit from the advantages they offer to citizens. This collaboration aims to enhance opportunities for Emirati citizens within the strategic sectors of the private sector, starting with the real estate sector in partnership with the Dubai Land Department and expanding into other sectors gradually.

Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, the President of the UAE Human Resource Development Council in Dubai, stated that the cooperation with the Competitiveness of Emirati Workforce Council and the “Nafis” program aims to empower the employment of citizens, providing them with professional opportunities and enabling them to succeed in the strategic sectors of the private sector in Dubai. He emphasized that the memorandum is a strategic step in achieving the goals of Dubai’s economic agenda (D33).

He noted that the agreement will commence with the private real estate sector, equipping it with local talents to contribute to its growth and Dubai’s overall economy. This partnership with the Competitiveness of Emirati Workforce Council and the Dubai Land Department will empower the future of Emiratization in the private real estate sector in Dubai.

On his part, His Excellency Ghanim Al Mazroui, the Secretary-General of the Competitiveness of Emirati Workforce Council, confirmed that the memorandum of understanding aims to enhance citizen participation in the private sector in Dubai. He highlighted the council’s commitment to collaborating with its strategic partners, including government entities, local and federal, and private sector companies, especially given the council’s significant achievements in supporting and increasing Emiratization rates in all emirates of the country.

He pointed out that the number of citizens working in the private sector has exceeded 81,000, with approximately 52,000 citizens joining the private sector since the launch of “Nafis.” Furthermore, over 28,000 citizens have joined the private workforce since the beginning of the current year, 2023. The number of companies that have employed citizens has surpassed 17,000, and in August, the total beneficiaries of the monthly financial support programs for citizens exceeded 61,000.

He emphasized that the memorandum contributes to enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of citizens in Dubai’s private sector by effectively utilizing the initiatives and programs of the council and encouraging citizens to visit the “Nafis” platform for registration and nomination in qualification and training programs.

Sultan Butti bin Mejren, the Director General of the Dubai Land Department, stressed the importance of empowering young Emirati talents in strategic sectors of the economy, with the real estate sector being a key driver for all other economic sectors.
