Bahrain’s renowned Pearling Path, a captivating attraction that has earned accolades and UNESCO World Heritage site recognition, has just become even more accessible. The unveiling of a pedestrian bridge linking Bu Maher Fort to the rest of the path marks a significant step in facilitating visits to this cultural gem.
Previously, visitors needed to purchase a BHD1 ticket for a boat ride from the Bahrain National Museum to access the trail. With the newly inaugurated bridge, exploring the Pearling Path has become more convenient than ever.
The bridge enables access to Bu Maher Fort from noon to 6 pm, offering an enriched experience for those keen to explore its historical significance. Furthermore, Muharraq residents benefit from 24/7 access to cross the Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway through the bridge.
Stretching approximately 3.5 km, the Bahrain Pearling Path meanders through the captivating historic city of Muharraq. Along this route, travelers encounter notable stops such as Bu Maher Fort, Al Ghus House, Murad Majlis, and the Siyadi shops. The path also encompasses three expansive oyster beds located in Bahrain’s northern territorial waters.
