Morocco’s maritime forces, in collaboration with coastal surveillance units, intercepted several makeshift boats carrying a total of 190 potential irregular migrants within the nation’s southern territorial waters stretching from Tan Tan to Dakhla.
Among those on board were 11 Sub-Saharan women, according to a statement from a military source reported by Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP).
The individuals rescued were ensured safety and received essential care before being transported to the nearest national ports. Subsequently, they were handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for standard administrative protocols, the source further disclosed.
